A busy secondary school in Wokingham Berkshire is looking for an enthusiastic and technically capable IT Technician to join its support team.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day technical assistance to teachers administrative staff and students ensuring that technology across the school remains reliable and accessible.
You will deal with a variety of hardware software and connectivity issues and will be expected to investigate problems efficiently before escalating more complex issues.
Key duties include:
Providing first-line IT support
Troubleshooting computers laptops and peripherals
Supporting classroom technology
Setting up and configuring devices
Assisting with user accounts and access
Installing and updating software
Troubleshooting connectivity problems
Maintaining IT equipment
Logging support requests
Supporting wider IT projects
The successful candidate should have previous technical support or IT experience and be comfortable explaining technical information to non-technical users.
School experience is desirable but not essential.
