A well-equipped secondary school in High Wycombe is seeking an IT Technician to join its technical support team.
The successful candidate will provide first-line technical assistance to staff and pupils and help maintain reliable technology across classrooms offices and communal areas.
Provide first-line technical support to staff and pupils.
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
Set up computers laptops tablets and other devices.
Support interactive displays projectors printers and classroom technology.
Assist with user accounts passwords and access issues.
Install and update approved software.
Maintain and organise IT equipment.
Log support requests and ensure issues are followed through.
Assist with basic network troubleshooting.
Escalate complex technical issues where appropriate.
Previous IT support or technician experience.
Good understanding of computer hardware and software.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
Patient and professional approach.
Strong organisational skills.
Experience within an education environment would be advantageous.
