We are recruiting for our client a successful engineering business in Derry/Londonderry who are seeking a proactive and people-focused HR Officer to join their team.
This is an exciting new stand alone permanent role (38 hours per week MondayThursday) offering the opportunity to play a pivotal role in HR operations employee engagement and talent management across the organisation.

The Role
- Act as a trusted HR advisor for employees and line managers on policies procedures compliance and employment legislation
- Provide employee relations support addressing queries and assisting with grievance resolution
- Manage recruitment processes end-to-end: drafting job descriptions sourcing candidates interviewing and onboarding
- Promote the organisation as an employer of choice through engagement with schools agencies and partners
- Support apprenticeships graduate programs training plans and employee development initiatives
- Manage performance review processes including probation reviews and coordinate training plans
- Lead employee engagement initiatives including the We are FAST team
- Maintain HR records prepare contracts correspondence and ensure accurate HR system data
- Administer employee benefits payroll support and offboarding processes
- Analyse HR metrics and provide reports to senior management
The Person
- 3rd level qualification in HR or relevant discipline
- Minimum 2-3 years HR generalist experience
- CIPD Level 3 or above desirable
- Knowledge of HR policies employment legislation and best practice
- Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
- Excellent interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills
- Strong organisational analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in manufacturing/engineering/production desirable
- Full clean driving licence
