Shift: 08:00hrs 17:30hrs Monday to Friday but flexibility on hours may be required.

Competitive Salary: 25.00ph working 42.5hrs per week.

About the role:

As a HGV Technician you will:

• Ensure all vehicles aremaintainedto a safe and roadworthy standard in line with DVSA & Group requirements.

• Carry out MOT preparation on Group assets.

• Ensure that all inspection/service/defect paperwork is completed accurately andin a timely manner.

• Ensure that high quality repairs are carried out in a cost-effective manner.

• Keep all workshop facilitiesequipmentand tools cleantidyand wellmaintained.

• Support central engineering function inidentifyingfailure trends.

• Keep up to date with developments within the industry and understand changes that mayimpactthe effective operation of the workshop.

• Have anorganisedand methodical approach to problem solving with attention to detail

• Undertake manufacturer training courses asand whenrequired.

• Take ownership of personal development seekingassistance& guidancefrom team leaders.

• Be accountablefor your own time be efficient and proactive when working within the workshop.

• Workas part of the wider team andassistothers where needed.

Requirements:

• Qualifiedup toNVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent or proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar vehicle maintenance role.

• Full UK DrivingLicence.

• A proven background in commercial vehicle repairs.

• Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness standards.

• C or C&E drivinglicenceis desirable but not essential.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
