This senior operational role will oversee client accounting reconciliations payments compliance reporting and financial controls while leading the Client Accounts team and working closely with Directors and senior departments to resolve complex matters and improve systems and processes.

Our client is seeking an experienced accounting professional but is also looking for an individual who has previously worked with property management and client accounts.

Previous managerial and supervisory experience would be a distinct advantage.

What Youll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities) as a Head of Client Accounts:

• Lead the day-to-day Client Accounts function ensuring accurate processing reconciliations and control of client money
• Oversee client account banking payments month-end reporting accounts payable and payroll
• Maintain robust financial controls and ensure compliance with Client Money Protection SafeAgent standards and relevant legislation
• Act as the senior escalation point for complex client accounting and financial matters
• Lead manage and develop the Client Accounts team providing technical guidance and support
• Improve systems and processes across Reapit Xero and other financial systems to increase accuracy efficiency and automation

What our client is looking for (Skills & Experience):

• Significant experience in residential property accounting client accounting or a similar financial environment
• Strong knowledge of client money reconciliations financial controls and compliance
• Minimum 2 years experience using Reapit
• Previous experience managing or supervising a finance or Client Accounts team
• Experience with Client Money Protection SafeAgent standards and client money compliance
• Excellent analytical organisational and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicator with the ability to work with Directors and senior stakeholders
• ACCA CIMA ACA or equivalent qualification or experience managing client money audits and financial systems would be advantageous
