Kent is looking for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to be based in our Woking office youll join our Graduate Development Programme and work alongside experienced engineers on a variety of exciting energy projects. Youll gain hands-on experience receive mentoring from industry professionals and develop the technical and professional skills needed to build a successful engineering career. Recruitment Timeline
Shortlisting and pre-screening of applications will commence in early November. Candidates selected to progress to the next stage will be invited to interview with interviews scheduled to take place from late November to early December 2026.

Skills & Responsibilities:
- Functioning as part of a team of engineers and will mainly provide assistance to other engineers or be responsible under close supervision.
- Complete Kent Graduate Development Programme.
- Corporate reporting line is to respective Mechanical Group Manager.

- Undertakes specific tasks / area of work as defined by the lead / principal / senior engineer.
- Executes allocated tasks within the requirements of the project execution plan and TDR.
- Works to the requirements of the Mechanical Design Manual
- Executes work in compliance with client specification Kents ISO accredited QMS and project specific procedures guides and standards.
- Performs related duties as and when instructed by lead / principal / senior engineer or group manager.
- Providing input to preparation of deliverables by other engineers.
- Providing input and support to decision making by other engineers.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employees skills capabilities and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employees current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Yourknowledge/skillseducationandexperience:
- Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering degree should be accredited by one of the professional engineering institutions.
- Awareness applicable international and industry specifications standards and codes.
- Knowledge of Safety and Quality Procedures and best practice.
Communication:
- Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.

- We are looking for candidates who are due to graduate in 2026 or have graduated in the last 2 years.
