Job Summary
We require a French Teacher to deliver the Modern Foreign Languages curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The role involves planning and delivering lessons that develop student skills in listening speaking reading and writing while fully preparing exam cohorts for GCSE French specifications.
An 1116 secondary school located in Stevenage Hertfordshire. The school operates with a centralized behaviour system managed by the senior leadership team to maintain quiet focused classrooms. The MFL department is collaborative sharing all planning resources and schemes of work to manage staff workload. A realistic feedback policy is in place to minimize out-of-hours marking.
Lesson Delivery: Plan and teach French lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 for all ability levels.
Skill Development: Teach grammar vocabulary and phonics to build student accuracy in written and spoken French.
GCSE Preparation: Prepare Year 11 classes for GCSE papers tracking progress and addressing learning gaps.
Differentiated Support: Adapt resources to ensure accessibility for SEND pupils while challenging higher attainers.
Form Tutor Duties: Take responsibility for a tutor group managing registration daily routines and parent contact.
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in French or a related language discipline.
Experience: Open to both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with a track record of stable progress metrics.
Skills: Clear communication strong classroom management and an approachable manner.
