The Opportunity

In this pivotal senior leadership position you will oversee the full financial function governance and commercial strategy of the practice. Balancing strategic insight with hands-on financial control you will lead the finance team optimise working capital ensure rigorous regulatory compliance and provide high-level commercial analysis to guide executive decision-making. Positioned at the heart of the business this role offers real influence over firm performance with genuine scope for future board-level progression.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Qualifications & Experience: ACA ACCA or CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience (PQE) ideally demonstrating senior financial management background within professional services or UK accountancy practice environments.

• Strategic Financial Management: Proven track record in financial strategy budgeting forecasting cash flow management management reporting and presenting board-level financial insights.

• Operational Control & Governance: In-depth expertise in statutory reporting tax compliance WIP management payroll oversight internal audit controls and regulatory adherence.

• Commercial Leadership: Strong commercial acumen with experience driving profitability reviewing business models optimizing software/ERP systems and managing key external relationships (banks auditors insurers).

• Team Management: Demonstrable leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor structure and motivate a high-performing finance function.
