We are seeking a skilled and commercially minded Finance Manager to join an outstanding school in Hackney. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of financial processes provide clear financial insight and help ensure the schools resources are managed effectively.
The Finance Manager will oversee the schools financial operations maintaining accurate records supporting budget planning and providing reports to inform strategic decisions. Working closely with the senior leadership team you will help ensure financial procedures are robust compliant and aligned with the schools priorities.
Key responsibilities:
Manage budgeting forecasting and financial reporting.
Monitor income expenditure and budget variances.
Oversee payroll purchasing and payment processes.
Prepare financial information and reports for senior leaders.
Support audits and ensure financial policies are followed.
Identify opportunities to improve financial systems and controls.
Previous experience in a finance management or senior finance role.
Strong knowledge of budgeting financial controls and reporting.
Excellent analytical organisational and communication skills.
High levels of accuracy integrity and attention to detail.
Confidence working with senior colleagues and managing competing deadlines.
Experience in a school or education setting would be beneficial.
