This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take full ownership of the finance function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.This role will suit someone who enjoys working autonomously adding value beyond the numbers and driving continuous improvement across the business.
You will act as the key financial lead on site providing high-quality reporting insight and control while supporting operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts including detailed variance analysis
Produce insightful management information (MI) packs with clear and meaningful commentary
Maintain and enhance financial controls systems and processes
Oversee day-to-day finance operations including supervision of an Accounts Assistant (PL SL cashbook)
Take ownership of the annual budgeting process along with regular forecasting and cashflow planning
Manage payroll VAT returns and tax compliance
Liaise with external advisors to support statutory accounts preparation
Drive continuous process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Identify and support cost-saving and performance improvement initiatives
Partner with the wider management team providing financial insight and analysis
Act as the go-to finance expert across the site supporting operational and strategic decisions
Our client is looking for a proactive and hands-on finance professional who thrives in a standalone or small team environment.
QBE or part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/AAT Level 4 or equivalent)
Proven ability to manage the full finance function end-to-end
Confident communicator able to work closely with non-finance stakeholders
Highly organised with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement
Experience within manufacturing or a similar environment would be advantageous
