About us
The Axis Academy is an SEMH Free School establishedin 2020 to support pupils with Social Emotional and Mental Health difficultiesin Cheshire East for 77 pupils aged 5-18 years old. At The Axis Academywe put each student at the centre of their education making the experience aspersonally tailored as possible and providing the right environment for all tosucceed. We do this while allowing them to understand and address thenature of specific mental health needs. We create a nurturing approach toeducation where children feel safe and supported and that their needs andobstacles in life are understood and addressed by empathetic patient membersof staff who show compassion and appreciate the needs and requirements of allpupils.
All children are offered a varied interesting andinspiring curriculum with a focus on vocational and well-being subjects as wellas academic subjects.
We are looking to appoint a highly skilled motivatedand enthusiastic person to support the Office Manager with the compliance ofadministrative tasks with a particular emphasis on financial and HR functions.

Job Description
Overall purpose of the role:
To provide comprehensive and effective administrationand office support to the school assisting the Office Manager with HR andfinance duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Main duties will include but are not limited to:
Human Resources
Assisting in the routineadministrative arrangements in relation to the recruitment interviewing andvetting of applicants
Marketing of individual vacancies
Assisting the Office Manager withthe onboarding paperwork for new staff
Recording and reporting CPD and professional learning
Assisting in the DBS application process of successfulcandidates and renewals of existing staff
Entering employee data into computer database
Assisting with the maintenance of the schools SingleCentral Record
Financial Management
Ordering goods and services atbest value in line with approved procedures
Entering purchase orders in linewith financial information system
Managing the process for paymentof all original approved purchase invoices
Assisting with the administration of any communitylettings in line with agreed policy
Assisting with the reconciliation process of monthlycredit card statements
Demonstrating financial procedure compliance and goodpractice
General
Ensuring security procedures are followed when peopleenter and exit the school in line with safeguarding requirements
Participating in training and other learningactivities and performance development as required
Undertaking duties related to the work of the schoolappropriate to the post assigned by the Officer Manager
Awareness of and compliance with policies andprocedures relating to child protection safeguarding health and safetyconfidentiality and data protection
Always maintaining complete confidentiality
Contributing to the overall ethos / work / aims of theTrust
