Experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon

Location: Uplands Way Vets
Hours: 36 hours over 4 days (Monday-Friday) No OOH or weekends
Salary: Competitive dependent on experience

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident clinician who enjoys delivering high-quality patient care building strong client relationships and working collaboratively within a supportive practice environment.


About the Role

As an experienced Veterinary Surgeon you will be responsible for providing exceptional medical and surgical care to a varied small animal caseload. You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical interests while working alongside a skilled team of veterinary surgeons RVNs student nurses and support staff.

The role includes:

  • Consulting and case work-ups
  • Routine and advanced surgery
  • Diagnostic investigations
  • Inpatient care and case management
  • Working closely with clients to provide excellent communication and continuity of care
  • Supporting and mentoring less experienced colleagues where appropriate


What are we looking for

We would love to hear from candidates who:

  • Are MRCVS registered
  • Have previous experience in UK small animal practice
  • Are confident with routine surgical and medical cases
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Are passionate about delivering outstanding patient and client care
  • Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team


About the Practice

We are a modern forward-thinking veterinary clinic based on the Norfolk/Suffolk border equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a friendly supportive team. Our practice prides itself on delivering exceptional patient care alongside excellent client service in a welcoming and professional environment.
