What will this role achieve

As the Engineering Trainer you will be fully responsible for the delivering of high-quality Engineering Training supporting the recruitment and onboarding of site Engineering Apprentices and guiding their development throughout the programme.

What will be your key deliverables

• To maintain the comprehensive Training matrix covering all Engineering capability requirements
• Design and deliver Train the trainer programmes to build internal capability
• Facilitate the bi-annual training days to deliver compliance and engineering training
• Deliver high-quality technical training on: Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) Machine size changes Guard removal and refitting General lubrication procedures Machine adjustments set-up and parts replacement
• Create amend verify and maintain DSOPs (Dynamic Standard Operating Procedures) for all training areas. Ensuring all DSOPs are accurate compliant and aligned with site Engineering standards
• Conduct competency assessments and sign-off engineers/apprentices once training is completed
• Carry out assessments as part of the ATM Recruitment process
• Complete annual training gap analysis and develop targeted training plans to address capability gaps. Support the recruitment onboarding and management of Engineering Apprentices
• Guide and support apprentices through their learning journey ensuring progress against the apprenticeship framework.
• Use SFOL (or equivalent systems) to create KPIs and dashboards that measure training effectiveness and completion rates.
• Provide regular reporting on training progress competency development and compliance levels.

Essential

• Experience with training-based programmes with the engineering field
• Identifying skills gaps and providing solutions
• Excellent verbal and written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with facilitating training-based needs
• A background in engineering training
