Engineering Supervisor

Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfilhas combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers counters to branded packaged meat all as part of our service; raised on open pastures sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.

We are currently looking for an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join our Engineering team in Kepak Merthyr Tydfil. This is a full time permanent position working a 4ON/4OFF shift pattern with a competitive salary.

Role Purpose:

To manage a team of Multiskilled Engineers on a shift rotation ensuring they maintain continuous production and improve efficiencies safely through effectively implementing preventative maintenance schedules and responding in a timely manner to breakdown repairs. Ensure continuous improvement methodologies are applied that improves the operational function.

• Provide technical and behavioural coaching to peers apprentices and front-line production colleagues

• Be the technical resource for projects and technical specifications

• Transfer best practice to further the development and performance of the engineering function.

• To be aware of and adhere to all Company policies and procedures.

• To undertake any other associated duties which may occasionally arise.

• Continuous improvement & lean experience

Skills and Qualifications:

• Electrical / Mechanical qualification
• Domestic wiring experience
• PLC program structure and operational awareness
• Boiler / Steam experience
