A highly successful school in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled DT Teacher to join its Design & Technology department. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students through engaging practical and theoretical lessons while contributing to a supportive and ambitious department.

The successful DT Teacher will deliver engaging lessons across Design & Technology helping students develop their practical skills creativity and understanding of the subject. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons assessing student progress and contributing positively to the wider life of the school.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging DT lessons up to KS5.

• Supporting students to develop strong practical and theoretical knowledge.

• Creating a positive and well-managed classroom environment.

• Assessing and monitoring student progress effectively.

• Preparing students for examinations and coursework where appropriate.

• Working collaboratively with colleagues within the DT department.

• Contributing to enrichment and wider school activities.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

• Experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school.

• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for practical education.

• The ability to deliver engaging lessons across KS3 GCSE and KS5.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• A commitment to supporting students of all abilities.

• A proactive reliable and professional approach.
