Why not join one of our many teams of Meals on Wheels staff within Fife We have a vacancy to join our teams of Driver / Handlers at Meals on Wheels Dunfermline. These posts ensure meals are delivered to the homes of service users who have pre ordered meals. The following permanent post is currently available:

Meals on Wheels - Dunfermline:

  • 2.75 hours at weekends.

Weekend enhancements are paid for any hours worked on a Saturday or Sunday.

You will earn a competitive salaryof25604.23 pro-rataand have access to a range of benefits including:

  • We pay the Scottish Local Government Living Wage of 13.64 per hour for this post plus extra payments for shift work including weekends.

This work is about providing daily delivery of meals to service users on a specified daily route. Advising line manager regarding client welfare if required along with an understanding of client confidentiality. Completing relevant paperwork and general kitchen duties. Training to achieve an Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate will be given. A full driving licence is essential for this post.

The Person

Ability to provide a regular and effective service working alone or as part of a team.

You will be required to attend an induction training day before starting in post.

Before confirming to your appointment you willbe requiredto obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
