Deputy Nurse Manager (RGN/RMN)

Were looking for an experienced RGN or RMN with a strong nursing home background to join the management team as Deputy Nurse Manager. Youll work closely with the Home Manager supporting clinical standards developing the team and ensuring residents continue to receive safe personalised and compassionate care.

What Were Looking For

  • Active NMC registration as an RGN or RMN essential
  • Previous nursing home experience essential
  • Senior nursing or clinical leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of older adult nursing and dementia care
  • Good understanding of CQC requirements safeguarding and clinical governance
  • Confidence with medication management care planning and risk assessments
  • Experience supporting and developing nursing and care teams
  • Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • A compassionate resident-focused approach to leadership
  • Excellent communication with residents families and healthcare professionals

Your Role

  • Work alongside the Home Manager to support the clinical and operational running of the home
  • Provide visible clinical leadership and guidance to nurses and care colleagues
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality nursing and dementia care
  • Review care plans risk assessments and clinical documentation
  • Support safe and effective medication management
  • Maintain strong standards across safeguarding infection control and clinical governance
  • Support clinical audits and continuous quality improvement
  • Coach mentor and develop members of the nursing and care teams
  • Build positive relationships with residents relatives and external professionals
  • Deputise for the Home Manager when required providing continuity of leadership
