Role responsibilities
Support the Senior Delivery Manager in implementing effective delivery management across allocated workstreams and projects within a portfolio of products and services
Create lead and develop multidisciplinary teams ensuring the appropriate structure and skill levels are in place to meet delivery requirements
Own the workstream delivery roadmap aligning activities with business strategy priorities and outcomes to deliver measurable value
Support the development of prioritised backlogs service blueprints and user stories by working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
Oversee the architecture for workstreams partnering with technical leads to ensure systems and solutions remain flexible and deliver performance aligned with business needs
Ensure effective software delivery methodologies are implemented and maintained in line with agile and lean principles
Align delivery practices with DevSecOps principles and toolsets to support automation continuous integration continuous deployment and continuous operational monitoring as standard
Ensure appropriate governance assurance and delivery management are in place managing dependencies risks issues budgets and people while embedding security reliability and performance throughout delivery and architecture decisions
Skills required
Minimum:
Extensive experience with delivery leadership and oversight for complex high-risk products and services commercial management and financial skills and dealing with senior stakeholders within high-visibility complex operating environments
Lead coach and support multidisciplinary delivery teams applying deep understanding across Agile delivery methodologies governance DevSecOps and User-Centred Design (UCD) practices to deliver effective outcomes
Manage complex delivery initiatives through in-depth application of agile and lean methodologies
Essential:
Applying agile and lean practices to identify and select the most effective delivery methods encourage experimentation adapt approaches to context measure outcomes and support teams in managing and visualising delivery results
Communicating effectively between technical and non-technical stakeholders interpreting business and technical requirements managing expectations and facilitating both proactive and reactive communications
Facilitating delivery flow across teams maintaining momentum managing pace and addressing risks issues and dependencies including those owned outside the team
Identify question and improve organisational processes coaching teams and stakeholders to inspect adapt and implement new ways of working that add measurable value
Overseeing delivery planning activities prioritising high-value work using data to inform decisions and managing complex internal and external dependencies to provide delivery confidence
Removing blockers and impediments affecting delivery plans develop solutions for complex situations and ensure teams plan realistically against available capacity
Building motivated and collaborative teams by creating the right working environment empowering colleagues to deliver addressing team issues and establishing the most effective team structure for each situation
