Job Summary
Dairy Engineer - Field Service Engineer -Exeter 1519 per hour DOE Company Van Overtime 100 per day for weekend cover
The Job:
-Service maintain and repair dairy and milking equipment.
-Attend breakdowns and carry out fault-finding and repairs.
-Install and commission milking equipment and parlour systems.
-Carry out preventative maintenance and testing.
-Work primarily on herringbone milking parlours and associated equipment.
-Travel to customer farms across the South West.
-Provide a professional and reliable service to customers.
-Assist with workshop and fabrication work where required.
TheCompany:
An established and growing dairy engineering businessis looking for an experiencedDairy Engineer / Agricultural Engineerto join their field-based role will involve travelling to dairy farms acrossDevon Cornwall Dorset and Somerset carrying out the servicing maintenance installation and repair of milking and dairy business primarily works withherringbone milking parlours rather than robotic systems and offers a varied hands-on role working directly with dairy farming customers.
The Candidate:
-Previous experience as a Dairy Engineer / Milking Engineer is preferred.
-Agricultural Engineers with dairy machinery experience will also be considered.
-Experienced farmers with strong hands-on dairy machinery repair experience are encouraged to apply.
-Good mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
-Practical hands-on approach.
-Welding/fabrication experience would be advantageous.
-Full UK driving licence.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
The Package:
- 1519 per hour depending on experience.
-Higher salary available for an exceptional candidate.
-Company van provided.
-Overtime paid at time and a half.
-100 per day for weekend cover even if not called out.
-Full-time permanent position.
