We are recruiting for an established and rapidly expanding customs agency within the fresh produce and FMCG sector near Tonbridge Kent. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit customs declarations and associated pre-notifications for clients and group operations.
• Proactively manage customs holds on consignments to ensure the timely release of time-critical perishable goods.
• Act as a key liaison with third parties including HMRC APHA port authorities inland border facilities and hauliers.
• Ensure accurate application of Customs Procedure Codes (CPCs) and compliance for controlled goods subject to sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) controls.

Your Skills & Experience

• Demonstrable experience within customs logistics or supply chain ideally in an FMCG or perishable goods setting.
• Hands-on experience or familiarity with UK customs software (e.g. CDS CNS Destin8 Sequoia).
• Understanding of CPCs specialist customs procedures and SPS controls.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel exceptionally detail-oriented and able to multitask under pressure.
• A Level 3 certificate from the UK Customs Academy or Institute of Export is desirable.
