You will teach Computer Science across KS3 and KS4 introducing students to programming algorithms computational thinking data representation and computer systems.

At Key Stage 3 students will develop their confidence with programming and digital problem-solving. At GCSE you will build towards the requirements of the Computer Science specification helping pupils develop the theoretical knowledge and practical programming skills needed for examinations.

The school wants a teacher who can make technical concepts understandable and encourage students to experiment and solve problems independently. Lessons should provide appropriate challenge while remaining accessible to pupils with different levels of prior experience.

You will assess student progress regularly and work alongside colleagues to ensure curriculum content is effectively sequenced across year groups.

• Computer Science or related Degree

• QTS or recognised teaching qualification

• Secondary Computer Science teaching experience

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4

• GCSE Computer Science experience

• Strong programming knowledge

• Understanding of algorithms

• Confident classroom management

• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly

• Good planning and assessment skills
