Community Support Worker

Help people live well in their own homes

Youll follow individual care plans and provide respectful practical support that encourages choice and independence.

Your role will include:

• Personal care: Helping with washing dressing bathing and toileting while protecting dignity and privacy.
• Medication support: Providing reminders or assistance in line with care plans training and competency.
• Meals and drinks: Preparing meals and helping with eating and drinking where needed.
• Mobility: Helping people move safely using equipment as trained.
• Everyday tasks: Supporting with light housework laundry and shopping.
• Companionship: Offering conversation reassurance and a listening ear.
• Keeping colleagues informed: Recording care accurately and reporting changes or concerns promptly.

You dont need previous care experience to apply. Were looking for people who are:

• Caring patient and respectful.
• Reliable and able to keep to agreed visits.
• Good listeners who communicate clearly.
• Comfortable working independently with support from the wider team.
• Willing to learn and develop their skills.
• Able to travel reliably between clients homes in Markyate.

Walkers must live locally to the Markyate round. Local drivers are equally welcome to apply.
