Job Summary

A bit about the role

Were looking for an enthusiastic intern to support our communications team in the lead-up to the British Rowing and World Rowing Indoor Championships. This is an exciting opportunity to get first hand experience in the day to day running of a social media and communications team and experience the exciting buzz of reporting during a major sporting event.

A bit about you
What youll be doing:
  • Writing stories and features about the sport athletes and build-up to the Indoor Championships

  • Help manage the day-to-day social media activity

  • Supporting live reporting/coverage during the event itself

  • Assisting with general editorial and communications tasks as they come up


What were looking for:

  • Knowledge of rowing across all disciplines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Good editorial judgement - knowing whats newsworthy and how to frame it

  • Comfortable using social media platforms

  • Enthusiastic a fast learner and a can-do attitude

Hours:Monday - Friday - flexiblilty
Location:Hammersmith Birmingham and hybrid
