Job Summary

Our client is a UK manufacturer of highly technical automated fire & smoke protection products looking for a Commercial Manager to manage the full commercial and contractual lifecycle across multiple projects.

You will be responsible for ensuring projects are commercially controlled contractually compliant and financially profitable from enquiry through to final account.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage commercial and contractual activities across multiple projects
  • Prepare tenders estimates and pricing
  • Oversee cost control procurement and subcontractor management
  • Administer NEC and JCT contracts
  • Manage variations valuations and final accounts
  • Monitor cash flow and payment processes
  • Identify and manage commercial risk
  • Liaise with clients suppliers and internal teams



Requirements
  • 5 years experience in Quantity Surveying or Commercial roles in construction
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts
  • Experience managing project commercial lifecycle
  • Strong negotiation and cost management skills
  • Experience with forecasting and financial reporting
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in construction fire safety or manufacturing preferred


Qualifications:

  • BSc / MSc in Quantity Surveying or related field
  • MRICS (or working towards) preferred

Required Skills:

Commercial management contract negotiation business development margin and P&L management quoting and estimating client relationship management knowledge of passive fire protection / fire and smoke curtain systems.


Required Education:

Degree HNC or HND in a construction engineering or business discipline or equivalent experience gained within the industry.
