CNC Operator Aluminium Windows & Doors

We are looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join an established aluminium window and door manufacturing operation.

This is a hands-on production role requiring previous CNC experience ideally gained within aluminium fenestration glazing or a similar manufacturing environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery used to manufacture aluminium window door and curtain walling products.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and operating CNC machinery.
  • Cutting drilling routing and machining aluminium profiles.
  • Producing components accurately from technical drawings and specifications.
  • Entering or selecting the correct machine programmes and settings.
  • Checking measurements before and after machining.
  • Ensuring finished components meet required tolerances and quality standards.
  • Identifying machining or production issues and making appropriate adjustments.
  • Carrying out routine checks and basic maintenance of CNC machinery and tooling.
  • Working to production schedules while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times.

What Were Looking For

  • Previous CNC operating experience is essential.
  • Experience machining aluminium profiles would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience within windows doors curtain walling or aluminium fabrication would be particularly useful.
  • Knowledge of Comar and/or Schüco aluminium systems would be an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
  • Good understanding of cutting drilling routing and machining processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
  • Reliable hardworking and able to work to production deadlines.

Previous CNC programming or software experience would be advantageous but is not essential for someone with strong CNC operating and setting experience.
