Commercial Litigation Solicitor

Location: Birmingham

Salary: 45000 to 65000 (depending on experience)

Experience: NQ to 3 years PQE (or equivalent)

Our client is looking to hire a junior Commercial Litigation Solicitor into a well-established national litigation team based in Birmingham. This is a great move if you want broad exposure to commercial disputes early responsibility on files and the support of experienced colleagues on complex high-profile and sensitive matters.

You will work with a wide client base including larger organisations owner-managed businesses public bodies insurers and professional practices. The team handles substantial challenging contentious work and you will have the chance to develop strong technical foundations while building confidence in client-facing work.

You will support senior lawyers while also managing your own caseload with supervision depending on experience. The role offers variety responsibility and the chance to get involved in business development and profile raising activity as you progress.

What Youll Be Doing

• Supporting senior lawyers with their caseloads of commercial disputes

• Managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision

• Drafting pleadings and correspondence and carrying out legal research and investigations

• Attending conferences court hearings and client meetings as required

• Communicating with clients counsel and other parties

• Supporting business development and profile raising initiatives

• Completing client and internal MI procedures

• Working to deadlines quality measures and KPIs

• Meeting agreed chargeable and financial targets

• Working in line with internal policies and procedures

What Were Looking For

• Qualified Solicitor (NQ to 3 years PQE or equivalent)

• Litigation experience is preferred but not essential if you can demonstrate strong interest and transferable skills

• Strong technical ability and attention to detail

• Commercial solution-driven mindset and good judgement

• Strong organisation and time management able to prioritise competing deadlines

• Confident communicator with a collaborative team approach

• Comfortable working independently when needed with the awareness to escalate appropriately
