Childrens Social Worker

Location: Colindale / Barnet
Role Type: Locum
Working Pattern: Hybrid approximately 2 days in the office with family visits as required

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Childrens Social Worker to join Barnet Council on a locum basis. The successful candidate will have strong experience in child protection and statutory social work.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children and families in line with statutory requirements.
• Work within Child Protection and Child in Need frameworks.
• Undertake assessments visits and reviews and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare reports and contribute to court proceedings when required.
• Work collaboratively with families colleagues and other professionals.
• Attend the office approximately 2 days per week and complete family visits as required.

Requirements

• Qualified Childrens Social Worker.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience.
• Registered with Social Work England (SWE).
• Experience working within a long-term team.
• Strong experience in Child Protection Child in Need and Court work.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment and undertake statutory family visits.
• Strong communication assessment and report-writing skills.
