Job Summary

A Chef is responsible for preparing cooking and presenting high-quality dishes while maintaining food safety hygiene standards and kitchen efficiency. Roles may vary from junior to senior level depending on experience and responsibility.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare cook and present dishes in line with menu specifications
  • Maintain high standards of food quality taste and presentation
  • Follow food hygiene allergen and health & safety regulations (HACCP)
  • Assist in menu planning and development (senior chefs)
  • Manage stock control ordering and minimize waste
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and organization always.
  • Work effectively as part of a kitchen team during busy service periods
  • Supervise junior staff (for senior roles such as Sous Chef).


Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen
  • Relevant culinary qualifications (desirable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Flexibility with shifts including evenings and weekends
