Caretaker

A successful Secondary School in Lincoln is looking to appoint a reliable and hardworking Caretaker to join its premises team on a full-time permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied practical role and takes pride in maintaining a safe secure and welcoming school environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the school buildings and grounds are maintained to a high standard throughout the year.

You will be responsible for opening and securing the school site carrying out routine inspections completing minor repairs and responding promptly to maintenance requests. Working closely with the Site Manager you will help ensure classrooms corridors offices and communal areas remain safe clean and fully operational.

You will assist with preparing rooms for examinations assemblies performances parents evenings and other school events while supporting contractors working on site and ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed.

The role also includes monitoring site security maintaining external grounds carrying out basic decorating and maintenance tasks moving furniture and equipment and assisting with deliveries as required.

The successful candidate will possess good practical skills excellent organisational abilities and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards across the school site.
