Care Home Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a proactive and dependable Care Home Maintenance Technician to support a friendly and well-established care home environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual who takes pride in maintaining safe comfortable and welcoming surroundings for residents visitors and staff.

• Carry out general maintenance repairs and upkeep of the care home environment
• Perform basic plumbing electrical and building maintenance work
• Maintain flooring fixtures fittings and equipment
• Replace light bulbs and ensure all areas are safe and well-presented
• Conduct PAT testing and support health and safety compliance
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
• Assist in maintaining a safe functional and comfortable environment for residents

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a maintenance role
• Previous experience within a care home healthcare or similar setting is desirable
• Good working knowledge of plumbing electrics and general building maintenance
• Experience carrying out PAT testing
• Ability to work independently and manage workload across multiple sites
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Reliable practical and proactive approach
