Role Summary

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a strategic hunter responsible for identifying and initiating high-value B2B relationships within the IT sector. This mid-level role focuses on generating a high-quality sales pipeline through rigorous outbound prospecting and qualifying opportunities to drive company growth. Success is measured by the volume and value of qualified opportunities successfully transitioned to the Account Executive team.


Work Setup & Collaboration
  • Hybrid Work Model: Based in London with a requirement of 23 days per week in the office for collaborative sessions and coaching.
  • High Autonomy: Expected to independently manage daily outreach volumes and prioritize target accounts within assigned verticals.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Works closely with Account Executives and Marketing to align messaging and ensure seamless lead handoffs.
  • Process-Oriented: Operates within a structured sales stack requiring disciplined CRM hygiene and adherence to data privacy standards.


What Youll Do
  • Own outbound prospecting strategies for assigned target accounts and high-growth IT verticals.
  • Multi-thread into organizations using a mix of cold calling personalized email sequences and strategic LinkedIn engagement.
  • Identify key decision-makers and build early-stage relationships by articulating complex value propositions clearly.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to qualify prospects based on business need budget and timing.
  • Facilitate high-quality handoffs to Account Executives providing deep context and actionable intelligence for every meeting.
  • Maintain CRM integrity by tracking all activities lead stages and market feedback in real-time.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership to refine outreach scripts and objection-handling techniques based on market response.
  • Manage your own desk with full ownership of your daily schedule to maximize high-intensity prospecting hours.


Success Indicators
  • Qualified Pipeline: Consistently meet or exceed monthly quotas for Qualified Opportunities Created (not just meetings booked).
  • Conversion Velocity: Maintain a high conversion rate from initial prospect contact to discovery meeting.
  • Activity Efficiency: Achieve target KPIs for daily outbound volume while maintaining high-quality personalization scores.
  • Data Accuracy: Ensure 100% completion of handoff documentation to minimize friction in the sales cycle.


Required Qualifications
  • 24 years of experience as a BDR or SDR with a proven track record in outbound B2B pipeline generation.
  • Hunter Mentality: A proactive approach to sales with a high resilience to rejection and a drive to exceed targets.
  • IT Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the Information Technology landscape and the ability to discuss technical solutions.
  • Outbound Mastery: Expert-level skills in cold calling and multi-channel prospecting.
  • CRM Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Salesforce HubSpot or equivalent platforms for pipeline management.
  • Written Communication: Ability to write concise persuasive and professional async communications for senior stakeholders.
  • Location: Must be based in or commutable to London for the hybrid office schedule.


Nice to Have
  • Experience using sales engagement tools such as Salesloft Outreach or Apollo.
  • Previous experience in a high-growth scale-up environment (50200 employees).
  • Familiarity with intent data platforms like ZoomInfo or 6sense to prioritize outreach.

Required Skills:

- Project Leadership: Around 4-5 years of experience leading technical projects with a talent for managing complex timelines and a deep proficiency in tools like Jira or ClickUp. - Full-Stack Technical Expertise: Solid hands-on experience with our core stack ( NestJS ) and a strong grasp of how modern frontend and backend systems integrate. - A Commitment to Quality: A sharp eye for detail demonstrated through your experience with API testing tools (Postman/Insomnia) browser dev tools and robust code review processes. - An Architectural Mindset: Familiarity with system design concepts like monorepos or microservices and best practices for building scalable and secure applications (REST APIs authentication caching). - A Collaborative Spirit: Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to serve as the bridge between technical and non-technical teams ensuring everyone is aligned and moving forward together.
