Our Building Control and Planning Technical Support Service is looking for a Business Support Officer. The Building Control Service ensures construction projects meet building regulations through inspections assessments and safety checks.

The team also handles issues such as dangerous structures unauthorised work fire risk assessments and maintains professional qualifications through ongoing training.

As a Building Control Support Officer you will work across Wiltshire checking plans and documents registering building control applications and responding to customer queries relating to the building regulations.

This role is responsible for providing high quality customer service at all times for this income generating service.

This role requires strong customer service communication and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office. The successful candidate will have relevant customer facing experience along with the ability to read plans solve problems manage administrative tasks and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail workload prioritisation and the ability to handle challenging situations in a busy environment are also essential.
