Are you a digital-first Bookkeeper who loves working with innovative technology and cloud-based accounting tools Were looking for someone like you to join our growing team at Thorne Widgery.
Youll be supporting a wide range of clients by managing their day-to-day finance and bookkeeping requirements using cutting-edge digital systems. Youll play a key role in streamlining financial processes and helping businesses make smarter decisions faster. Day-to-day youll:
- Manage client bookkeeping and accounts using cloud-based tools
- Match purchase orders with invoices and reconciling accounts
- Coordinate online bank feeds and processing payments
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Record financial transactions accurately and maintaining up-to-date records
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Liaise with clients and internal teams to resolve accounting queries

Hungry for a new challenge youll be tech-confident and proactive with a passion for using digital tools to make work smarter. Youll bring with you:
- Minimum 2 years bookkeeping experience in practice or industry
- Proficiency with cloud-based accounting software and digital tools (Dext experience a plus)
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles VAT and payroll compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues
