The school is looking to appoint an experienced Behaviour Manager to work alongside senior leaders and pastoral colleagues to support behaviour across the school.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating behaviour support and interventions.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring behaviour across the school.

  • Supporting implementation of behaviour policies.

  • Managing behaviour incidents.

  • Maintaining accurate behaviour records.

  • Identifying recurring behaviour patterns.

  • Supporting individual interventions.

  • Working with Heads of Year.

  • Communicating with parents and carers.

  • Supporting behaviour meetings.

  • Developing behaviour strategies.

  • Monitoring pupil progress following interventions.

  • Supporting reintegration following sanctions.

  • Advising staff on behaviour procedures.

  • Supporting pupils to understand expectations.

  • Preparing behaviour information for senior leaders.

  • Contributing to behaviour reviews.

  • Supporting the wider pastoral team.

Behaviour Intervention

The Behaviour Manager will work directly with pupils requiring additional support.

Interventions may include:

  • One-to-one meetings.

  • Restorative conversations.

  • Behaviour monitoring.

  • Individual support plans.

  • Targeted interventions.

  • Regular reviews.

The successful candidate will help pupils understand the consequences of their choices while supporting them to develop more positive approaches.

Working With Staff

The Behaviour Manager will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to promote consistency.

You may advise colleagues review incidents and contribute to discussions regarding individual pupils.

Working With Parents

Regular communication with parents and carers will be required.

This may involve discussing incidents arranging meetings and providing updates on behaviour interventions.

The successful candidate must remain professional during challenging conversations.

Person Specification

The school is looking for someone with:

Experience supporting pupils with additional needs would be advantageous.

Safeguarding and Inclusion
