Previous School Experience Essential

A high-performing 1118 secondary school and Sixth Form in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Behaviour Manager.

Previous school-based experience is essential ideally within a secondary setting and in a behaviour pastoral inclusion or student support role.

This position will suit someone who enjoys being visible around school building relationships with students and working proactively rather than simply responding to incidents.

The Role

Youll be involved in the day-to-day management of behaviour while also helping students understand expectations and improve their engagement.

  • Managing behaviour across KS3KS5

  • Leading targeted interventions

  • Monitoring attendance and punctuality

  • Supporting students with behaviour plans

  • Working with Heads of Year

  • Liaising with parents and carers

  • Supporting restorative conversations

  • Managing internal reflection provision

  • Recording and analysing behaviour data

  • Contributing to pastoral meetings

About You

You should have a confident but approachable manner and be able to remain consistent when dealing with challenging behaviour.

Previous experience with secondary-aged students SEMH inclusion or safeguarding would be beneficial.
