Job Summary
A highly regarded school in Liverpool is seeking an experienced and organised Attendance Manager to join its pastoral and administrative team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about improving pupil attendance punctuality and engagement.
The successful Attendance Manager will take a leading role in monitoring and improving attendance across the school. Working closely with pupils parents pastoral staff and senior leaders you will identify attendance concerns coordinate appropriate interventions and ensure effective attendance procedures are consistently followed.
Key responsibilities include:
Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality across the school
Identifying patterns of absence and persistent non-attendance
Following up unexplained absences with parents and carers
Coordinating attendance interventions and improvement strategies
Working closely with pastoral safeguarding and senior leadership teams
Maintaining accurate attendance records and producing reports
Communicating professionally with families regarding attendance concerns
Supporting the school in meeting its attendance targets and policies
The school is looking for an experienced attendance professional with strong organisational and communication skills. Previous experience in an Attendance Officer Attendance Manager Pastoral or similar school-based role would be highly advantageous.
The successful candidate should be confident working with families able to manage sensitive situations professionally and have excellent attention to detail. A proactive approach and the ability to prioritise competing demands are essential.
