What will this role achieve
This role will provide key support to the Site Leadership Team for theHarlesdenfactory site.
The role will be based in Harlesden and reports to theHarlesdenRegional Finance Manager within Supply ChainFinance andwill provide pivotal support in a range of areas including the preparation of quarterly forecasts / budgets and performance reporting.
The role will involve working closely with a wide range of cross-functional team members as well as guiding the offshore finance function.
Developing Cost Centre Managers financial awareness finance support for cases for the site capital investment process andfacilitatingthe management team in controlling and forecasting the cost base are all part of the responsibilities. Standard product costing ownership including financial support for thedevelopment of new products. A drive for continuous improvement will be crucial to develop the processes and practices of thesitefinance function.
What will be your key deliverables
- Ensuring that decisions plans and strategies are formulated on a sound commercial and financial basis.
- Reviewing and reporting performance against agreed budgets and forecasts and driving the formulation ofthe vitalaction plans to meet thoseobjectives.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and group accounting procedures highlighting areas of concern asappropriateand taking corrective action.
- Business partner to site costcentremanagers supporting them inoverheadsmanagement andmentoron financial matters.
- Completing the sites budget and monthly forecasting processes.
- Standard product costing ownership including financial support for the development of new products.
- Supporting and liaising with project leadsregardingcapital reporting and forecasting capital businesscasesand managing monthly site projects meetings.
- Site prime and overhead performance analysis andmonth endreporting.
- Ensuring robust financial control throughmaintainingthe site asset registerbeing responsible fortimelycapitalisation disposal and asset verification.
- Periodic balance sheet reconciliation review.
- Supervision and support of the offshore team including development training and acting as the first point of contact.
- Reporting into the Regional Finance Manager and site leadership team.
- Deputiseas the need arises for the Regional Finance Manager
Bring yourexperience
- Able todemonstrate communication and leadership ability with the gravitas to build solid successful working relationships cross functionally.
- Experience of Financial Analysis / modelling / investment appraisal techniques
- The desire to challenge the status quo actively engage with thewhole site.
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel and Word/PowerPoint)
- Willing to commit towards the completion of arecognisedprofessional qualification such as CIMA/ACA/ACCA
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to make financial analysis easilyunderstood
- Ability to planeffectivelyand work under owninitiative
