Gerrys Hot Subs is looking for an energetic reliable and hands-onDuty Manager / Supervisorto join our team.

This is a floor-based role for someone who enjoys working with people delivering great customer service and leading a team in a busy fast-paced restaurant.

• Run the restaurant confidently during your shift
• Lead motivate and organise the team
• Open and close the restaurant when required
• Make sure customers receive fast friendly and excellent service
• Encourage the team toupsell and increase sales
• Ensure food is prepared and served to Gerrys standards
• Manage busy lunch and evening services
• Deal professionally with customer questions and complaints
• Allocate staff positions breaks and daily duties
• Train and support new team members
• Monitor cleanliness and food hygiene standards
• Complete opening and closing checklists
• Check stock levels and report shortages
• Help control waste and portion sizes
• Handle tills cash and end-of-shift procedures
• Support delivery orders and make sure they leave quickly and correctly
• Work closely with the General Manager
• Take responsibility for the restaurant when the General Manager is not present

• Previous supervisor team leader or duty manager experience in hospitality
• Strong customer-service skills
• Confident leading a small team
• Fast and organised during busy periods
• Good communication skills
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable dealing with problems and making decisions
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety
• Positive attitude and willingness to work hands-on with the team
• Strong sales mentality able to encourage upselling and improve average spend
