A transformation programme impacting 1900 stores and approx. 40000 colleagues Griffin delivers a high level of technical and process change relating to Point of Sale Stock Management and Shelf Edge Labels unlocking future business capabilities whilst enhancing the colleague and customer journey.

What youll be doing

As an Assistant Change Manager you will play a key role in supporting the successful adoption of new systems processes and ways of working across the Griffin Programme. Working closely with business stakeholders and the programme team you will help ensure colleagues are informed prepared and supported throughout the transformation journey.

Reporting to the Griffin Change Manager within the Boots Transformation Office you will benefit from this Centre of Excellence while working exclusively on the Griffin programme.

Working across a large diverse cross-functional team that includes Retail Operations IT and external partners you will support business teams through the programme.

Key Responsibilities:

Change Management Planning:
  • Change Management Planning: Supporting the Griffin team and our stakeholders with creating plans action logs and tracking progress
  • Monitoring sentiment and adoption: Support the collection of colleague feedback identify barriers to adoption and contribute to actions that improve engagement and readiness.
  • Support Change Initiatives: Assist in planning validating and executing change plans collaborating with the wider Griffin team
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and map stakeholders support engagement activities and contribute to communication plans that drive understanding and adoption of change.
  • Change Impact Assessment: Contribute to assessing the impact of changes to processes systems governance and data
  • Communication: Assist in drafting internal and stakeholder communications ensuring messages are clear concise and tailored to audiences
  • Training and Development: Support the design coordination and delivery of training and learning material to prepare colleagues for change.
  • Business Readiness & Hypercare: Support business readiness activities before during and after go-live

What youll need to have (our must-haves)
  • Excellent communication & listening skills with the ability to explain complex issues to those with a non-technical background and build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Critical thinking skills and a willingness to challenge others in a supportive manner to drive improvements and the best result for our stakeholders
  • The ability to be considerate and sensitive to how people are feeling throughout the programme and able to adjust approach accordingly
  • Project management skills e.g. creation and oversight of plan and approach

It would be great if you also have
  • Change Management experience ideally with an understanding of human centric change mythologies.
  • Previous project experience either within the project or as a key SME.
  • Experience creating and/or delivering training
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
