Job Summary

Greatwell Homes is looking for a practical customer-focused Asset Compliance Operative. You will help keep our homes communal areas and community facilities safe by carrying out essential inspections testing and straightforward remedial work while maintaining accurate compliance records and delivering a professional service to residents and colleagues.

What youll be doing

  • Test fire alarms and emergency lighting in residential blocks and community rooms.
  • Inspect communal fire doors report defects and complete basic remedial work where appropriate.
  • Carry out water temperature checks flushing and descaling.
  • Complete PAT testing playground inspections and health and safety signage checks or installations.
  • Undertake wider health safety and compliance inspections and support colleagues or contractors on site when required.
  • Produce clear reports keep compliance information accurate and follow up identified actions.

What were looking for

  • A Level 3 Award or equivalent in Fire Door Inspection. (if you do not have this we can support the training on a development opportunity)
  • Completion of a PAT testing course. (if you do not have this we can support the training on a development opportunity)
  • Experience of basic building repairs including carpentry and property maintenance.
  • Experience in a customer-focused environment with clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to use step ladders and safely handle materials equipment and ladders.

Experience in a similar role and knowledge of building compliance functions would be an advantage.
