Architecture Technician

Due to expanding workload AECOM are recruiting for an Architectural Technician in Belfast.

AECOM are offering a great opportunity to join our established architecture team in our multi-disciplinary offices in Belfast. AECOM Architecture and Interiors is active in the following UK sectors: Infrastructure Leisure Sports Education Healthcare Rail Defence Government Transportation Industrial and Data Centres.

About Our Team:

Our Studio is listed as the 4th largest employer of architects worldwide in the World Architecture WAsurvey with 1554 architects globally. We currently have 160 architectural staff in the UK and are now ranked 10th in AJ100.

AECOMs design team in Belfast is a dynamic multi-disciplinary collaborative team.  We work closely with our engineers and in-house specialists here in Belfast and throughout our wider UK and international offices. Our large-scale complex projects will be of interest for Architectural Technicians who thrive in a challenging and dynamic environment.

About you

• Enthusiastic positive and energetic Architectural Technician ready to work within a dynamic agile team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Highly computer literate in all standard Microsoft office software.
• Have a strong design and technical ability.
• Working knowledge of Building Systems Regulations and construction types and Strong technical detailing skills.
• Have strong Revit skills (essential) and BIM awareness.  Knowledge of AutoCAD also desirable.
• Demonstrates careful attention to detail.
• Preferably you will demonstrate a wide experience of design at all RIBA stages and have previous experience of large scale projects.
• You may also be required to obtain BPSS and SC clearance if not already held previously.

Qualifications :

• Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline. CIAT membership or willingness to work towards CIAT Membership is desirable.
• Proven experience in working on large scale projects preferably across a variety of sectors.
• Good REVIT BIM and presentation skills are essential.
• A REVIT test will be held as part of the interview process.
• Knowledge of CDE systems like Sharepoint ACC Projectwise would be beneficial.
