The role

We are currently recruiting for a Architectural Assistant (part 2) in our Billericay office.


Projects are likely to be quite diverse in nature but primarily involving production of architectural drawings for varying purposes on REVIT and AutoCad but also perhaps from time to time embracing some interior design work. There will be opportunities for involvement in a variety of work which can include education public sector social housing residential and healthcare and other Practice work from time to time.


Please Note: This role may be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service Baseline Personnel Security Standard Counter Terrorist Check Security Check or Developed Vetting clearance.

The selected candidate will

  • Assist Architectural team in developing scheme designs to detail design stage.
  • Work with the other technical staff on the team for production of Planning through to Building Regulations drawings on REVIT and AutoCAD; make applications answer and resolve queries with building control departments or consultancies.
  • Produce working drawing packages for tender and construction purposes.
  • Liaise with other consultants internal and external to ensure fully integrated production documentation.
  • Liaise with sub-contractors specialist suppliers and other contractors as appropriate including checking of drawings.
  • Carry out measured surveys of buildings.
  • Assist the Project Architect in project delivery during construction.
  • Attend site meetings as appropriate.
  • Assist in and contribute to the regular review of activities to maximise effectiveness and delivery of working drawing packages.
  • Write technical specifications as required.
  • Assist with projects being undertaken by other Ingleton Wood teams or offices as requested.
  • Provide technical input to help integrate requirements into the drawings package.
  • Where instructed take responsibility for day to day job running of specific projects under the supervision of the team leader.
  • Foster two way communication and effective team-working.
  • Put measures in place to identify manage and minimise risks (e.g. financial business continuity health & safety)
  • Promote Ingleton Woods values and objectives to colleagues and externally where opportunity arises. Participate actively in promoting the Practice and initiate such activity.
