Job Summary

An exceptional Outstanding secondary school in Birmingham is looking to appoint an organised professional and welcoming Admissions Officer to join its friendly administrative team immediately.

As the first point of contact for prospective families you will play a vital role in creating a positive and seamless admissions journey from enquiry through to enrolment.

The Role

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day admissions process ensuring all applications are managed efficiently and in accordance with school and local authority procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing admissions enquiries from prospective parents and carers

  • Coordinating applications from initial enquiry through to enrolment

  • Organising school tours open mornings open evenings and admissions events

  • Maintaining accurate pupil records using the schools Management Information System (MIS)

  • Liaising with local authorities and external agencies regarding admissions

  • Preparing admissions reports and supporting student data administration

  • Providing administrative support to the wider school office team

The Ideal Candidate

The school is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised administrator who has:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong organisational ability and exceptional attention to detail

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications

  • The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively

  • Previous experience within school admissions or education administration (desirable)

  • Experience using Arbor SIMS or Bromcom (advantageous but not essential)
