Job Summary

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Transport & Operations Administrator to support our busy branch. This is a varied role that plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our transport administration and customer service functions.

Working closely withthe Branch Manager Internal Sales team and Drivers youwill help improveoperational efficiencyallowing key teammembers to focuson delivering excellentcustomer service andbusiness growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage transport administration ensuring all vehiclecompliance is maintained including booking andmonitoring PMIs.
  • Complete driverhours legislation paperworkand maintain accuratetransport records.
  • Plan and coordinatedaily vehicle routing.
  • Handle all transport-related administrationand paperwork.
  • Process customer returns including faulty goodsand returned IBOs liaising with theRedditchbranch to ensurecorrect procedures arefollowed and unnecessarystock holding isminimised.
  • Book stock intothe system accurately.
  • Unpick and unpackcustomer orderswhere required.
  • Complete end-of-day driver paperworkand report vehicledefects.
  • Produce end-of-dayinvoicing and ensureany outstanding invoicesare completed thefollowing morning.
  • Support the InternalSales team duringbusy periods bytakingcustomer calls processingorders via telephoneand email andassisting with newaccount openings.
  • Inputcustomer quotations intoSalesforce.
  • Contribute to improvingbranch efficiency bytaking ownership ofkey administrative andtransportprocesses enabling BranchManagers to spendmore time supportingcustomers and developingbusiness opportunities.

  • Be confident managingmultiple prioritiesin a fast-paced environment.
  • Have strong administrativeand IT skills.
  • Be an effectivecommunicator with acustomer-focused approach.
  • Beable to workindependently while collaboratingwith colleagues acrossthe business.
  • Experience in transportadministration logistics or a similaroperationalrole would beadvantageous.
