Accounts Manager

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of client accounts and support a range of accounting bookkeeping VAT payroll and compliance activities.

• Manage a portfolio of client accounts and maintain accurate financial records
• Prepare management accounts and financial reports
• Assist with bookkeeping bank reconciliations and ledger maintenance
• Prepare and review VAT returns and support HMRC compliance
• Support payroll processing and maintain payroll records
• Assist with year-end accounts preparation
• Monitor accounts payable accounts receivable and client transactions
• Analyse financial information and investigate discrepancies
• Support audit preparation and respond to information requests
• Act as a key point of contact for client accounting queries
• Build and maintain strong professional client relationships
• Assist clients with accounting software and financial documentation
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards HMRC requirements and internal procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency
• Support accounting system implementation and process improvements

The ideal candidate will have:

• AAT ACCA CIMA Finance degree or equivalent accounting experience
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice or finance environment
• Good knowledge of bookkeeping VAT payroll and financial reporting
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero QuickBooks Sage or similar
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet deadlines
• A professional and confidential approach to client relationships

• Salary up to 30000 per annum depending on experience
