POS Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new features for POS applications to support business and operational needs
• Maintain enhance and optimize existing POS systems for performance and scalability
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions
• Integrate POS systems with backend services payment gateways and third-party APIs
• Ensure system security reliability and efficiency across all POS platforms
• Perform code reviews unit testing and support continuous integration and deployment
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues ensuring minimal downtime
• Document system architecture development processes and configurations

Key Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
• Minimum 58 years of experience in software development with strong focus on POS systems
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C C# Java
• Hands-on experience with POS hardware and peripherals (e.g. printers scanners payment terminals)
• Strong knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and messaging systems (e.g. MQ)
• Experience with RESTful APIs and system integration
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong analytical thinking problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
