Job Summary
At Ring/Blink Sr. TPMs operate with AI-native fluency using AI tools as a core part of how you plan execute communicate and deliver. You will set AI-native standards for the sustaining function build reusable workflows the team adopts and measure success by customer impact. You own every output you ship AI-assisted or not.
The ideal candidate brings experience leading complex hardware sustaining programs navigating system and supply trade-offs and driving continuous improvement while leveraging AI to multiply team effectiveness.
Key job responsibilities
- Program Ownership: Own end-to-end sustaining program management for Ring/Blink devices from mass production through EOL. Manage multiple concurrent programs across the portfolio.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Lead Engineering Operations Quality Supply Chain and CMs through engineering changes PRQ 2nd-source qualifications and new SKU development. Build schedules track milestones and ensure on-time delivery aligned to business priorities.
- Engineering Change & 2nd-Source: Facilitate intake reviews and impact assessments. Drive 2nd-source programs end-to-end datasheet comparison test plan development production validation and cut-in monitoring to strengthen supply resilience.
- Supply Risk & Cost-Down: Proactively mitigate material risks (shortages EOL single-source exposure). Drive cost-down through component re-selection process optimization and alternate qualification to prevent line-down.
- Quality & Field Performance: Monitor field metrics (returns failure rates complaints); drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions. Close the loop from field failures back to engineering and suppliers for systemic improvement.
- Stakeholder Communication: Deliver concise program health updates to leadership. Mentor junior TPMs; drive process and tooling improvements that raise team execution standards.
- AI-Native Practice: Design workflows with AI embedded from the start automated status generation risk detection and reusable tooling (reports scorecards issue pipelines) the team adopts. Develop expertise in at least one AI domain relevant to TPM work.
A day in the life
You manage 58 concurrent sustaining programs across the Ring/Blink a typical week youre reviewing AI-flagged supply risk alerts driving a 2nd-source PRQ test plan with your engineering counterpart coordinating with Operation team on a component shortage mitigation leading an intake review for a new cost-down request and reviewing the auto-generated sustaining portfolio dashboard before your leadership read-out. You balance reactive issue resolution with proactive quality and cost improvement and youre continuously building AI workflows that automate the routine so you and the team can focus on decisions strategy and customer impact.
About the team
The Ring & Blink Product Sustaining HW TPM team ensures that our shipped devices continue to deliver high-quality performance throughout their lifecycle. We manage engineering changes qualify alternate components drive cost optimization and resolve field quality issues across the full Ring and Blink device portfolio cameras and video doorbells. Our team operates in Taipei working closely with engineering in the US and Taiwan CMs across Asia and cross-functional partners globally.
- 7 years of technical product or program management experience
- 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience coordinating with contract manufacturers or ODMs in Asia
- Strong communication skills in English & Chinese
- Bachelors degree in engineering computer science or equivalent
- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience with IP cameras video doorbells IoT devices or similar connected consumer products
- Experience driving cost-down initiatives (component re-selection process optimization supplier negotiation)
- Experience building AI-assisted automations or workflows adopted by a team (automated reporting data pipelines supply risk monitors)
