Hardware Technical Program Manager, Product Development, Ring & Blink Accessories (L5)

Job Summary
You will drive programs from concept through mass production partnering with cross-functional engineering teams contract manufacturers (CMs) and ODMs in Asia and US-based product and engineering stakeholders. As the single-threaded owner for accessory program execution you are accountable for on-time delivery quality and cost targets.
At Ring/Blink TPMs operate with AI-native fluency leveraging AI tools as a core part of how you plan execute communicate and deliver. AI fluency that doesnt improve customer outcomes is not sufficient; you own every output you ship AI-assisted or not.
Key job responsibilities
- Program Ownership: Own end-to-end accessory development from concept all the way to launch through sustaining/EOL.
- Schedule & Risk Management: Build and maintain workback schedules; identify critical-path risks and drive mitigations with data-backed recommendations escalate with options not just problems.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Drive aligned execution across PM ID ME EE FW Quality Compliance Operations and Supply Chain.
- CM/ODM Management: Serve as primary TPM interface with Asia-based manufacturing partners. Lead build readiness reviews tooling schedules and production issue resolution. Travel to sites (China/Vietnam) for key builds as needed.
- Technical Depth: Maintain sufficient hardware design fluency (ME EE materials) to identify risks early and facilitate engineering trade-offs within program constraints.
- BOM & Cost: Track BOM convergence and drive cost-down through component selection 2nd-source qualification and process optimization to meet guardrail targets.
- Stakeholder Communication: Deliver regular program health updates to leadership covering status decisions and change-control items.
- AI-Native Practice: Design workflows with AI embedded from the start automated status generation risk detection data synthesis and reusable tooling (reports scorecards dependency tracking) that the team adopts. Actively develop expertise in at least one AI domain relevant to TPM work.
A day in the life
You own 24 accessory programs at various development a typical week youre reviewing tooling status with the CM running a cross-functional build-readiness review for an upcoming DVT build using AI-generated portfolio dashboards to identify at-risk milestones driving an open-issue list with EE/ME engineers to closure and preparing a milestone-gate read-out for leadership. You balance hands-on execution with forward-looking planning and youre continuously looking for ways to automate the routine so you can focus on decisions and strategy.
About the team
The Ring & Blink Accessories HW TPM team is part of the broader Ring & Blink Products & Delivery Org. We develop the full range of accessory products from gateways battery packs and solar panels to corner kits wedge kits and installation hardware that complement our camera doorbell and alarm product lines. Our team operates in Taipei working closely with engineering in the US and Taiwan and manufacturing partners across Asia to deliver high-quality cost-effective accessories at scale.
- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 5 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience coordinating with contract manufacturers or ODMs
- Demonstrated fluency with AI tools in daily work (writing analysis reporting research)
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Industrial or related field)
- Experience developing accessories or peripheral hardware products (batteries chargers mounts power supplies cables)
- Familiarity with hardware development milestones (EVT/DVT/PVT/MP) and mass-production ramp
- Experience managing BOM cost tooling schedules and supplier qualification
- Experience working in a multi-site multi-timezone environment (Asia US)
- Experience building AI-assisted automations or workflows adopted by a team (automated reporting data pipelines agent-based tools)
