Working closely with patent attorneys scientists and global business teams you will play a key role in enabling informed decisions that help bring groundbreaking medicines to patients worldwide.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Conduct patent and scientific literature searches to support critical intellectual property and business decisions.
Develop innovative search strategies using advanced research methodologies and specialized patent databases.
Deliver actionable patent analytics supporting due diligence litigation and freedom-to-operate assessments.
Partner with patent attorneys scientists and business teams to define objectives and deliver insights.
Translate complex technical information into clear recommendations for diverse stakeholders.
Maintain high-quality documentation search records and confidentiality standards across all projects.
Strengthen organizational expertise by sharing best practices and monitoring industry developments.

Essential Requirements

(Prof.) Master degree (or PhD) in Biology or Biochemistry or a related scientific discipline.
Experience in patent searching intellectual property research technical research or patent analytics.
Proficiency using patent and scientific literature databases and advanced search platforms.
Strong analytical problem-solving and research skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively within a global environment.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical biotechnology healthcare or related life sciences industries is a plus

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 93.800 - 174.200 CHF

The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives such as relevant skills competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
