Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patent and scientific literature searches to support critical intellectual property and business decisions.
- Develop innovative search strategies using advanced research methodologies and specialized patent databases.
- Deliver actionable patent analytics supporting due diligence litigation and freedom-to-operate assessments.
- Partner with patent attorneys scientists and business teams to define objectives and deliver insights.
- Translate complex technical information into clear recommendations for diverse stakeholders.
- Maintain high-quality documentation search records and confidentiality standards across all projects.
- Strengthen organizational expertise by sharing best practices and monitoring industry developments.
Essential Requirements
- (Prof.) Master degree (or PhD) in Biology or Biochemistry or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience in patent searching intellectual property research technical research or patent analytics.
- Proficiency using patent and scientific literature databases and advanced search platforms.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and research skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively within a global environment.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical biotechnology healthcare or related life sciences industries is a plus

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 93.800 - 174.200 CHF
The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives such as relevant skills competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
