Automation Engineer GMP Pharma & Biotech

agap2 is a European engineering and operational consulting group founded in 2005 and specialized in the industry. We work in the Pharma Biotechnology Medical Devices Energy Infrastructure Transportation Chemicals and Information Technology sectors.

As a consultant you will have to support our clients in the realization of their projects on site by bringing your expertise and your skills.

You are agile and eager to adapt to different work environments that will fuel your curiosity of seeing whats behind closed doors of the biggest projects of our clients portfolio.

You will work on the design implementation qualification and improvement of automation systems in GMP-regulated environments. Depending on your background your expertise may focus on PLC SCADA HMI DCS MES or industrial networks.

You will collaborate with engineering production quality and validation teams on complex investment and improvement projects.

Your responsibilities

• Design develop and implement automation solutions in GMP environments.
• Contribute to the configuration and programming of PLC HMI SCADA DCS or MES systems.
• Support FAT SAT commissioning qualification and validation activities.
• Troubleshoot automation control and communication issues.
• Develop and improve automation standards procedures and technical documentation.
• Support batch control recipe management data integrity and process monitoring activities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams suppliers and client stakeholders.
• Contribute to the delivery of strategic pharmaceutical and biotech projects.

• Degree in Automation Electrical Engineering Industrial IT or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical biotechnology or life science environment.
• Professional experience with at least one of the following: PLC SCADA HMI DCS MES industrial automation or OT networks.
• Knowledge of automation systems and industrial communication with one or more platforms such as Siemens Rockwell/Allen-Bradley Emerson DeltaV or Syncade is an advantage.
• Understanding of GMP GAMP 5 data integrity and qualification/validation principles.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a consulting and project-based environment.
• Good communication skills in English; German is a strong advantage.
